Venice Hometown Realty has now been in business for over 2 years. It seems like it was just yesterday that we got started with the renovations to the building!  We love our office which is in the Historic District on Palermo Place on Venice Island. The atmosphere makes you feel like you are in a "hometown" place of business with experienced, friendly people.

Sales for 2009 were very good and 2010 has been great so far. However, we need more listings.We don't have enough to meet the demands for sales.

The demand for rentals were great this year and we need more properties! Everyone seemed to think that due to the economy the rentals would be low. It was a very cold winter for a large part of the country in 2009 and this winter was even colder. Here in Florida we had an unusual cold snap, but the beauty to that is that it is just a snap.

I can report that this year I have taken more reservations for 2011 than I did at this time last year for 2010. For a change, people ARE staying longer. I have several 3 month stays booked and am making these reservations a lot sooner than last year. I think all of our friends up north know that next winter will be just as cold as this one has been.   

If you have made a reservation with us or plan to do so, please be sure to read the Landlord and Tenant Act link on this site. The Florida Real Estate Commission now requires all tenants to read this, so that is why it is now posted on my website. Also, you might want to call Chris Lyon about travel insurance. Its a wonderful way to be assured that in case of an emergency you will not loose your vacation money. It is a great plan and we are the only rental company to offer this to our visitors.
