Come and enjoy our tropical paradise! We have it all - boating, fishing, shelling, collecting sharks teeth, shopping, golf and so much more. Venice is one of the few cities on Florida's west coast that is not separated from the Gulf by a barrier island. Preserving the original character of Venice, the city created the Historic Venice District and an Architectural Review Board to ensure that new construction or modification of existing buildings conform to the northern Italian Renaissance style of the city's original architecture. Our office is one of the original homes built in 1926 for the noted Dr. Fred Albee.

There are several small communities near the island. Nokomis, just north of Venice, stretches east from Casey Key to I-75, with many miles of shoreline.

Osprey, the northernmost community of the Venice area, is the oldest. History can be traced from Historic Spanish Point, through pioneer homestead building of the late 1800's to the early 20th century gardens of Mrs. Potter Palmer. This is also the home of Oscar Scherer State Park.
